What Frontier Markets Investors Can Learn From China

Joel Backaler’s comment last week on IKEA in China and Xie Zuxi’s recent article in Worldcrunch, “How to Succeed in China: Why some foreign firms boom and others go home,” have some good pointers for multinationals entering other emerging markets. Granted, China’s scale makes some of the lessons more pronounced, and the auto industry of course has its own calculus, but anyone planning a move into other developing countries would do well to read through the lessons learned.
